me so he wouldn’t have to deal with the issues that I had reported. I notified the manager that I’d be leaving this gym and clearly for him it was getting rid of the “problem” I.e. Clearly the manager has no moral compass, is fake and doesn’t care about women’s safety or well being in the gym.
I had evidence of the PT’s messages and video and Colin didn’t even do the bare minimum to have a look at it, or take it seriously. He was not at all concerned or alarmed by what I had told him and gave a generic response that he would look into. When I reported this to Colin and whether there was a thorough procedure in employing the PT, he of course said there was. When enquiring in the business, the woman said she was the owner and he had nothing to do with the business at all. Tony also lied to me and said he was working at the gym part time and owned the curtain business across the road.

The worst was the PT Tony asking for my Instagram and then sending me a pro rape video, which mocked women saying “no” and that “no does not really mean no, it’s women playing hard to get”. Some of my experiences of obvious misogyny was a man pestering me inappropriately asking me when he could come to my home, another guy mocking my calves and another guy accusing me of wearing makeup (when I was not).
I am especially appalled by the PT called Tony who has been employed, as well as the manager’s failure to acknowledge and deal with any of the situations professionally or with any care or concern. Corrupt & unprofessional staff, misogynistic environmentĪs much as I wanted to stay at this gym it was inevitable that I had to leave due to having experienced harassment and misogyny from some of the men at this gym.
